FUNERAL CREMATIONS

Funeral cremations allow you to have a service where you can say goodbye, letting you keep their ashes and giving you the option to scatter them somewhere special to them. If you need help planning or organising a personal service, please contact Tom Lewis Funeral Directors in Pencader.

What to expect from a cremation

The cremation will take place at a crematorium, where the service will be held. This can include readings, eulogies and music, before the coffin or casket is committed to the furnace. Once the service is finished, your loved one's ashes will be returned to you keep or scatter somewhere that was special to them or to your family.

Cremation forms and administration

If you decide on a cremation, you will need certain forms, namely the Application for Cremation (or cremation form 1), and the Certificate for Cremation (or green form). The green form will be given to you by the registry office when registering the death, and we can provide the Application for Cremation prior to the service. Please don't worry, as our funeral directors will help you throughout the process.

How much does a cremation cost?
